The Difference

Why we are not
the cheapest.

Three things are sold in a Bihar kirana: loose spice, national brands, and now us. Here is exactly where we sit, stated plainly enough that you can hold us to it.

Side by Side

The honest comparison.

Written as a standard we are committing to, not as a claim about any particular competitor. Judge us against this table — that is what it is for.

The first two columns describe general category practice as widely reported, not the conduct of any named company. The GRAMIVA column is a commitment we invite you to test.

The Three Real Reasons

What actually makes a spice different.

1 · Where it is bought

Almost every quality problem in Indian spice is created at purchase, not production. A brand that buys ground powder has already lost the ability to judge what it is selling. We buy whole, always, and reject lots outright rather than negotiating the price down.

2 · How fresh it is ground

Aroma is volatile. A spice ground for a national supply chain must survive months of warehouse and transit, so it is optimised for stability rather than smell. We grind in small lots close to demand — which is operationally harder and the entire reason our coriander smells like something.

3 · Whether anyone is accountable

Loose spice has no name on it. A large brand has a name but no person. We are small enough that a complaint reaches the founder and the batch can be pulled from the archive. That accountability is a feature of our size — so we have built systems to keep it as we grow.

The Price Question

We cost a little more than loose.
We cost less than we could.

Sortex cleaning, whole-spice buying and testing every batch are real costs and we do not pretend otherwise. But we are a family business in Gopalganj, not a marketing department in Mumbai — so what we do not spend on advertising goes into the pouch instead. That is the entire pricing philosophy.
